Online Dispensary in Belle-Baie, NB

Belle-Baie is one of the youngest towns in Canada, born on January 1, 2023, when New Brunswick’s local governance reform merged the town of Beresford with the villages of Nigadoo, Petit-Rocher and Pointe-Verte into a single municipality along Chaleur Bay. Beresford itself, the largest of the four founding communities, traced back to settlement after 1812 and took its name from William Carr Beresford, a general who served under Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo. Petit-Rocher is older still, founded by Acadian settlers in 1797 and named for a small rocky outcrop along its shoreline, its hyphenated spelling only made official in 2009 after over a century of local use. Together the four communities carry deep Acadian roots stretching back to families who resettled the Chaleur Bay coastline generations after the 1755 deportation scattered their ancestors across the Atlantic.

The new town’s name, meaning “beautiful bay” in French, reflects the shoreline the four founding communities share, where salt marshes, boardwalks and beach parks line the water for kilometres. Belle-Baie is now home to roughly 14,000 residents and remains one of New Brunswick’s most strongly Acadian, French-speaking communities, with a local economy still tied closely to the bay itself. Weed Market ships to Belle-Baie addresses the same fast, tracked, completely discreet way it ships everywhere in New Brunswick.
