Online Dispensary in New Westminster, BC

New Westminster owes its name to Queen Victoria herself. Colonel Richard Clement Moody of the Royal Engineers, who chose this riverfront site in 1858, proposed calling it Queensborough, but the Queen named it after Westminster in London, home of the Parliament Buildings, giving it the lasting nickname the Royal City. Long before that, this stretch of the Fraser River was home to the Kwantlen First Nation. New Westminster served as the capital of the Colony of British Columbia until 1866, when the mainland and Vancouver Island colonies merged and Victoria took over.

The city was incorporated on July 16, 1860, becoming the first in British Columbia with an elected municipal government. In 1898 the Great Fire swept through and destroyed much of downtown. Today New Westminster sits on the north bank of the Fraser River, one of the most compact cities in Metro Vancouver. Home to 78,916 people (2021 census) on just 15.62 km², it lies about 19 km southeast of central Vancouver. Weed Market ships here the same way it does across the rest of British Columbia, fast, tracked and completely discreet.
