Online Dispensary in Blackfalds, AB

Blackfalds started out under yet another name, Waghorn, chosen for Walter Waghorn, the district’s first postmaster who arrived in the 1890s. The community was renamed in 1903 after Blackfalds, a small hamlet in Scotland, and it stayed a modest railway stop for most of the twentieth century, once operating its own butter and cheese creamery from 1903 until it changed hands in 1914. What sets Blackfalds apart today is its growth curve rather than its founding story. The town’s population jumped 48% between 2011 and 2016, then another 14% by 2021, and Blackfalds has been recognized as one of Alberta’s fastest-growing communities as far back as 1958.

That growth has pushed Blackfalds past the 10,000-resident threshold that qualifies a town for city status under Alberta’s Municipal Government Act, making it one of the largest towns in the province by population even though it still functions as a town. Sitting on Highway 2A just north of Red Deer, Blackfalds has built out recreation facilities like the Abbey Centre and Eagle Builders Centre to match its rapid expansion. Weed Market ships to Blackfalds addresses the same way it does across the rest of Alberta, fast, tracked and completely discreet.
